Lauv's "The Other,"

Image
When I first heard Lauv's "The Other," it was like someone had taken my inner conflict and turned it into a song.  The line, “When there’s nothing quite wrong, but it don’t feel right either your head or your heart, you set the other on fire,” hit me like a ton of bricks.  It perfectly described the emotional whirlwind I was going through. There wasn’t anything clearly wrong in my life or my relationships at the time, but something just felt off, and I couldn’t figure it out. I’ve been in that place where my head and heart were constantly at war. You try to convince yourself that everything is fine, that you should be happy with what you have. But deep down, something just doesn’t sit right, and you’re left feeling like you’re burning yourself out trying to figure out what’s missing.  That’s exactly what I felt when listening to this song. Lauv captures that emotional tug-of-war, where no matter which side you lean toward, you end up hurting one part of yourself. The Oth...

"Happy Now" by Kygo

Image
When I first listened to "Happy Now" by Kygo, it instantly resonated with me. I had just gone through a confusing and emotional time in my life.  I was in a relationship with a great guy, but out of nowhere, I started falling out of love. It wasn’t that anything was wrong—he was wonderful—but I found myself drawn to someone else, though deep down, I wasn’t even sure if I truly liked them. Letting go of both was incredibly painful, but I knew it was the right decision for everyone involved. "Happy Now" became a healing anthem for me during that time.  The song gave me the strength to cope with the heartbreak and confusion, reminding me that moving on was the only way to find peace again.  It helped me come to terms with the fact that sometimes, even the hardest decisions lead to something better, and though it hurt, it was the beginning of my journey to being truly happy.

🎶The Moffatts Concert in Manila 2017🎶

Image
Reliving My Childhood: The Moffatts Concert in Manila There’s something special about reconnecting with the music that defined your youth, and for me, The Moffatts were a huge part of that. They were my childhood crush, and when I found out they were performing in Manila, I knew I couldn’t miss the chance to see them live. The concert turned out to be more than just a trip down memory lane—it was a night of nostalgia, excitement, and emotion that reminded me why I fell in love with their music all those years ago.  Anticipation and Excitement As the concert date approached, I couldn’t help but feel like a teenager again. The Moffatts had always held a special place in my heart, and the idea of seeing them live, all these years later, felt surreal. I spent the days leading up to the show re-listening to all my favorite tracks—"Miss You Like Crazy," "I'll Be There For You," and "Girl of My Dreams." Each song brought back memories of the days I would da...

The Soundtrack of a Relationship (2013-2015) Reflecting on relationships that deeply marked a time in our lives is never easy, but it’s also a journey of self-discovery. Music has a way of capturing those emotions better than words alone ever could, creating a soundtrack that tells the story of our ups and downs, our joys, and our heartbreaks. For me, this relationship between 2013 and 2015 was one of those intense connections where every milestone and setback seemed to have its own song—a perfect harmony of melody and memory. It all started with the kind of easy connection that seemed like it could last forever, and Justin Timberlake’s “ Not a Bad Thing” felt like the perfect anthem. With lyrics like, “So don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me, 'cause you might look around and find your dreams come true, with me,” it was our vibe, carefree and hopeful. I remember feeling like we were on the edge of something special, not necessarily certain about where...

Cribs Era

Image
Thinking back to 2007-2009, I can’t help but be pulled into a wave of nostalgia. That year was filled with carefree nights, laughter, and that electric energy of being young and in the moment. My playlist from that time, which I called "Cribs Era," perfectly captures the vibe of those days—those wild nights spent at the Nevada Cribs in Baguio City with friends, endless parties, and moments of blissful chaos. This playlist was more than just a set of songs; it was a soundtrack to our experiences, encapsulating that unique combination of infatuation, fun, and rebellion. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of the tracks that defined those unforgettable days. Infatuated – Memphis Bleek This song was on repeat, setting the mood with its laid-back but intense vibe. "Infatuated" by Memphis Bleek was one of those tracks that perfectly captured the feeling of a fleeting crush—a little obsession mixed with excitement and a touch of mystery. Every time this tra...

💔 Just it Go- 4Tune

Image
💔 Listening to "Just Let It Go" by 4Tune feels like a reminder to release the things that weigh us down and keep us from moving forward. The song’s simple yet powerful message hits home—there’s no point in holding onto past pain or regrets because they only hold us back. Sometimes, it’s easy to cling to memories, to what-ifs, and even to people who no longer belong in our lives. But this song gently pushes us to find the courage to let those things go, to trust that by releasing them, we’re actually making room for something better. The lyrics feel comforting, almost like a friend’s advice when we’re stuck in a loop of overthinking. I love how the song captures that moment of decision: do we continue to carry the weight, or do we set it down and let it drift away? "Just Let It Go" resonates because it’s not about ignoring the past—it’s about acknowledging it, accepting it, and then choosing to move forward. It’s a hopeful reminder that we have the power to decide w...

How to Deal - Frankie J

Image
How to Deal" by Frankie J How to Deal" by Frankie J always takes me back to a time of introspection and emotional vulnerability. The lyrics really capture the struggle of navigating a complicated relationship and the heartache that often comes with it. Frankie’s smooth voice conveys a sense of longing and confusion that resonates deeply with anyone who has faced the challenges of love. The way he expresses the pain of unreciprocated feelings really hits home. I can relate to those moments when you’re deeply invested in someone, yet it feels like they’re not on the same page. The line about not knowing how to deal with the situation reflects a universal struggle; we’ve all been there, grappling with the heartache of wanting someone who doesn’t fully understand or appreciate our love. What stands out to me is the sense of helplessness woven throughout the song. Frankie J perfectly captures that feeling of being torn between wanting to move on and holding onto hope that things...
